I am always seeking a unique solution using any appropriate material or technique to accomplish the design goal.
Andy’s initial training in Industrial Design prepared a solid foundation for working in many materials while meeting the needs of his clients over a career spanning 46 years. Projects include hand forged iron gates, ceramic tile murals, and fine art sculpture in private collections. Industrial Design and its application is based on what is currently termed “Design Thinking”, an approach to problem solving that challenges assumptions, examines diverse resources to arrive at innovative solutions. He works in many styles and in several materials defined by the needs of the project at hand. He has exhibited in juried national and regional shows and has maintained a studio in the Bellevue neighborhood of Pittsburgh since 1977.
