Teaching Artist Grants

Teaching Artists and artists interested in teaching- CGP has money for arts education projects supporting the artist as teacher in the  community.  (If you have never had the opportunity to teach, we may be able to assist you in beginning this process. More artists teaching = more artists in our communities.) Teaching artists looking to provide in-depth exposure to arts based learning can apply for $1,780 to support their program.

The Teaching Artist Grant supports high quality art education projects with the following populations:

1. Teaching arts based projects to youths under the age of 18 (k-12) in public, private and community institutions

2. Teaching adult groups including but not limited to: special needs, elderly, veterans, medically challenged

3. A community based project housed within a community center.

Project funding can be used for materials, facility costs and small equipment.  Any equipment purchased with grant funds should remain the property of the school or institution affiliated with the project to facilitate arts programming within the institution for the future.

Upon completion of the project, grant recipients will be asked to submit a short final report and images for CGP.  Images must be suitable for publication (minors must have a signed release form)

Applications Deadline: February 24, 2018

Notification of award: March at the Spring Annual Meeting
