A former special education teacher, I began my pottery career during my "stay at home mom" period. My love for the clay exceeded the classroom and so I became a professional potter. I exhibit in 15 fine art shows per year and wholesale my work to over 20 galleries around the country. Presently, my line consists of functional work with incised designs that I hand carve into the leather hard wheel thrown piece. I use a wood ash glaze on the surfaces which is made from wood ash left over in the wood stove which heats my home in the winter. I enjoy hearing customers say that my pottery glaze looks like trees. It is the ultimate in recycling!
